Arsenal Transfer News: Rodrygo set for talks with competitors, Gunners eye another big deal

Arsenal have already completed some big deals this summer, but the Gunners still hope to bring in more new faces before the start of the new Premier League season next month.
Arsenal will break the £200 million barrier in summer spending as they are set to wrap up deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera this week.
The Gunners have already splashed out significant sums on Kepa, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. With the £50 million deal for Noni Madueke also done, it would be forgivable to think Arsenal would close the door after agreeing deals for Gyokeres and Mosquera.
But beyond these names, Andrea Berta and his team are expected to push for another top signing, with Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze still of interest.
There are also expected to be departures, with Bayern Munich showing interest in Gabriel Martinelli this week. Others could leave too, as there are now a few stars who are surplus to requirements.
Liverpool appear to have joined the race for Rodrygo this week, and according to AS, the club seems set to send officials for club-to-club talks with Real Madrid over a deal for the forward soon.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with the 24-year-old Rodrygo as they look for a new elite left winger this summer. However, with big-money deals for Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres in the works, it remains to be seen if the Brazilian can make the move.
It has now emerged that Liverpool are ready to "do whatever it takes" to sign Rodrygo, with Luis Díaz set to leave this summer.
Arsenal are reported to have spent heavily in the summer transfer window, but they are not done yet.
They state that the Gunners will pursue either Rodrygo or Eberechi Eze after completing deals for Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera; despite these transfers meaning the club will have spent over £200 million this summer.
They are said to want one more "X-factor" signing – which could be funded by sales – and both Rodrygo and Eze fit the bill.
Fulham have made contact with Arsenal about bringing Reiss Nelson back to Craven Cottage.
The 25-year-old Arsenal forward spent last season on loan at Fulham but only made 11 appearances due to injury.
Nelson is one of the players Arsenal are willing to let leave this summer. BBC Sport says Fulham have made contact with Arsenal over a deal, potentially a loan, that would see Nelson return to Craven Cottage.
